Hay Y’all!
My twin granddaughters turn 15 today! It is such an exciting time for them because they will also be celebrating their Quinceañera this weekend!
The Cards.
I created my cards using the Simon Says Birthday Bash Stamp and Die Set. I created one using purple and blue, and the other with pink and green.
All the elements were heat embossed with Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment Ink with clear
embossing powder first.
A Few Details!
These cards are 5 x 6 giving me a bit more real estate to work with. The background is from the My Favorite Things 6 x 6 Party Time Paper Pad. I water colored my components with the Altenew-36 Pan Watercolor Set on watercolor paper and die cut them. Once I adhered them to my card front, I used Wink of Stella to add some shine!
Not Identical-Coordinating!
My granddaughters, affectionately known as Bean & Bug, were always dressed in coordinating outfits when they were little. So as much as possible, I still try to do that for them with their cards and gifts. Not only did it help us (mostly me) “tell them apart”, it helped early on to establish a sense of self. This was very important to my daughter, and it must have worked because they are two very different young ladies! I am so grateful to be their grandmother, and I wish them all the love and happiness in their futures!
Thanks for joining me today, and I hope you enjoyed sharing the girls birthday with me!
