As a continuation of the the Style it with Stencils Blog Hop on September 14, I thought I would share card I created using the Wild Leopard Stencil from Altenew.
This Wild Leopard background was so easy to create. After applying the Frosty Pink Mixed Media ink using the Ink Blending Tool, I used clear embossing powder on a regular 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 size card front, which I then cut it into strips and adhered them to a black card base. The look I was hoping to achieve, which I think I did, was a “wallpaper” background look.
The frame for my sentiment was created using the Nesting Labels Dies and again the Frosty Pink Mixed Media ink, which I embossed a total of 3 times to get a strong look for the frame. When I do a “friend” card I usually have someone in mind, and that sort of dictates my color choices. That is why I chose to go with the black for my complimentary color to the Frosty Pink. Plus, it’s a strong color combination that has an appeal to many people.
I have enjoyed creating with stencils these last few days, and I’m hoping to use them more often and in more creative ways.
Don’t’ forget there is still time for a chance to win my “blog candy” giveaway! Get all the details below.
Thanks for spending your time with me today.
