Winter Florals by Altenew

One of my favorite times of the year is Christmas! I love the sights, smells and sounds of Christmas.

I especially love creating Christmas cards to send to friends and family.

I wanted to try something a little outside the box for me by using pinks in my holiday cardmaking this year.

Not something I usually do. I am definitely a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas colors.

However, when I got the Winter Florals by Altenew , I knew this stamp and die set would be an excellent vehicle to try something new. 

Floral Colors

It’s always a tough choice to pick a color from the beautiful Altenew color options. For this project I picked the Red Cosmos Color Family. The poinsettias were colored with Frosty Pink, and Coral Berry, and the sentiments were created using the Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Die set with the Coral Berry Pigment Ink. 

I cut the holly leaves from the die set with white glitter paper and used Cloud White Pigment Ink to create the background of Diamond Snowflakes. All this onto a kraft cardstock card base.

Bonus Tags Winter Florals

I created some gift tags to go along with my Winter Floral Cards. I really enjoyed using this newly released Altenew  stamp and die set. It’s a must have for your Christmas Card Making stash. The florals have a traditional look and feel but is versatile enough to go outside the box with!
