Hey Y’all,
Welcome to the Altenew blog hop and giveaway featuring projects using Washi Tape!
You likely got here after visiting Nancy Souza Thanks for following along.
Using washi tape in a variety of ways is a great way to create drama, texture or interest in your projects. These tapes can become the focal point or background.
In my first example, I have used the washi tape to coordinate with my main focal point of the flowers, but it also helps create a bit of drama as well. The tape here also creates a texture that would otherwise be missing from this card. The tape shown here is actually two tapes, Deco Lines and Golden Trim Washi Tape.
For my second card,
I turned to the Aurora Borealis tape as my image and focal point. While the huge sentiment might seem to “outshine” the washi tape, it actually compliments and pulls the card together. Again, I used the Golden Trim with the Aurora Borealis for additional shine!
Finally,
I created this last card using the Painted Orchids Wild Washi Tape for my background. By doing this, the focal image is able to become even more of a focal point when the background and focal image are coordinated. In other words it pulls it all together.
Thank you
so much for stopping by today to see how I use Washi Tapes!
Rachael
