Hey Crafty Friends,

I have been “out of the blog-a-spere” these last few weeks, as we have just had so much happening around here!

Some Tech Stuff

One of the things I managed to do was to change my hosting provider for my blog.  Well, I say me, but that’s not really true. You see, I am “tech UNSAVVY”! I just don’t understand a lot of the jargon, the steps, and quite honestly, I get a headache when I try!

I do however have a secret weapon! Integrant Services!

They have saved me so much suffering! I tried to go it alone, I just made a mess of things! Brian and Nicole Watt are such pros! They not only get the job done, they save you some dignity in the process! At least I don’t feel like an idiot when I deal with them! I hope you’ll check them out and see if they can help you too!

Some Gingham Stuff

We have only recently started to interact with family and friends due to the pandemic situation. Luckily one of my friends “saved” some cookbooks she had for me instead of trashing them! They are all beautifully illustrated and not only have some great recipes, they also include some heartwarming stories. One of the illustrations really caught my eye, and I created this card from that inspo!

Country Chic

I love gingham, and it’s very common to find it’s use here in the south. But it also makes for some beautiful accents on cards, and scrapbook pages. For my card I used the Altenew Adore You Stamp and Die bundle, and the Liquid Marble Stencil for my background. I cut the gingham strips to create a frame and put everything together from there. I did watercolor my flowers with the 24 Pan Watercolor set as well. As you will see from the original drawing, the colors are different, but thats what inspiration does! It pushes you to go in a way that is different than what you actually see!

Mix and Match

One of the things I did was to use a sentiment from a different stamp set, Beautiful Day Stamp Set. I also used different types of patterns to give

“texture’ to my card without having to add a lot of elements to achieve it!

I have enjoyed sharing this with you today, and I especially appreciate you sharing your time with me! Check out the original inspiration below, and let me know what you think. You might find some inspiration in an unexpected place too!
