Tuesday Morning Sketches is starting to become a habit with me!
I like the challenge of not knowing what’s coming up! This weeks challenge was a bit tougher than usual, but hopefully I’ve pulled it off. Here is this week’s sketch by Melissa Craig.
I don’t know why but all those circles said Christmas! So that’s what I went with. My other option was hula-hoops, and those wouldn’t fit on my card!
I have had this Sizzix Poinsettia die for awhile. The set is actually a Pillow Box Framelits from Sizzix, and the Poinsettia is the flower that comes in the set. The pillow box is a breeze to put together and great for gift making. That’s for another post!
As you can see I added plenty of sparkle and shine to my card to give it lots of Christmas cheer! I created that background with a brick wall stencil using the Tim Holtz mini Distress inks. Hopefully, I achieved a “weathered” look on my background.
I used the Scrapbook.com clear glitter brush pen to give the flower and leaves their shimmer. Personally, I think this pen is better than many on the market, as I have not had it “overflow” while I was using it yet!
I will be cross posting this to Krafty Chicks Challenges as well, because it’s Christmas! Yay!
Thanks again to Tuesday Morning Sketches for a great sketch, and lots of fun this week!
