This is my first time playing with CAS(e) This Sketch. Today’s sketch is from Brian King.
This is what’s called a Retro Sketch based on one of his previous sketches for the design team.
In case you are not familiar “CAS(e) stands for “Clean and Simple” designs. It a great concept, and not always easy to do. The mantra of “less is more” is the key here.
For my “CAS” card, I tried to stay as close to the sketch as possible. Keeping the sentiment on the side of the design can be a challenge so I broke up my sentiment!
I put each word on one of the balloon elements to adhere to the vertical challenge of the sentiment.
This was pretty straightforward once I had my sentiment in place. My background was a piece of patterned paper and the balloon colors were inked up to match.
For the final touches, I used Journaling Pen for the strings, and Glitter Brush Pen for a bit of shine. You can find my supplies below.
